The aim of Chess extracurricular association is to shape and develop students’ mental abilities, as well as to improve their self-organizational and self-expression skills. Teachers develop students’ attention, imagination, will, diligence, determination, patience and memory through various tasks, problems, conundrums and puzzles. Special attention is drawn to students’ creativity and flexibility. Students participate in different qualifying competitions.
Each student exercises the 10 IB Student Qualities even while playing chess, which particularly helps to get award-winning places in competitions.
Head of Extracurricular Union is Nelli Pilosyan.
